Forest City Flyfishing Club
About Us

Forest City Flyfishing Club

The Forest City Flyfishing Club is London’s only club dedicated to fly-fishing. The Club was formed in 1993, by a small group of like-minded fly-fishers, to promote the sport by teaching others and sharing with others, all aspects of the sport.

Today, the Club boasts a diverse membership with members ranging from beginner to expert and youth to senior. All are welcome !!

Through the club, members have access to lifetimes of fly-fishing knowledge and experience. Experienced members take pride in helping others to learn and enjoy the sport of fly-fishing and the craft of fly-tying.

Club Meetings

The club holds general meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, September through June, at 7 p.m., at The Western Ontario Fish & Game Protective Association Hall. General meetings feature informative presentations and fly-tying demonstrations by knowledgeable guests. All fly-tying materials are provided by the club for general meetings.

The club holds informal fly-tying nights on the third Wednesday of each month from September through June. Informal tying nights have both “beginner” and “advanced” sessions and allow club members an opportunity to swap fly patterns and learn fly-tying one-on-one.

The months of July through August are spent on the water with planned outings each Wednesday, to local hot spots. This gives members an opportunity to hone their fly-fishing skills along side other members, as well as an opportunity to test their fly-tying
creations.
